How to Eat Really Good Food and Still Lose Weight

Snacking on lettuce leafs and rice cake paddies is no way to diet. You absolutely don't have to eat bland and boring foods to lose a little or even a lot of weight. With what we know today it is not only possible but a responsibility to eat great foods while losing weight. So what's the catch you say? No catch. Just use common sense and have a willingness to try new things that will allow you to enjoy your food and shed the pounds.

Be Fresh

You cannot expect to lose any permanent weight if the foods you use to prepare your meals are stuffed with calories, bad fat and chemicals. Processed foods are also a culprit in the battle against weight loss. Avoid them at all costs. Stick with fresh ingredients. You can never go wrong with fresh ingredients. Avoid anything that comes in a box, is canned, or in a jug. These products are processed and have no place in your healthy diet plan. Be fresh!

Be Wise

Foods that should be included in your healthy meal plan include fresh fish, fresh herbs, fresh fruits and veggies, organic eggs and organic meats. Although this is not an exhaustive list, it is a very good start. Here's the point. There are so many healthy and tasty choices that there shouldn't be any excuse for not eating delicious while losing weight permanently. When you look at it this way the phrase "weight management" should not cause you to have a nervous breakdown. It can be fun if you experiment and forget about all the rules you learned from all those fad diets you've tried. Natural foods are good for you because they are filled with nutrients and low on calories. Also, natural foods are not saturated with additives and chemicals which are a key contributor to weight gain, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and many other health problems. Choose your foods wisely!

Be Bold

Try experimenting with new recipes. Skim through cookbooks (hard cover or online), and use your creative juices to come up with mouth-watering meals you can't wait to sink your teeth into. Free yourself from the old ways of planning and preparing your meals. Replace unhealthy ingredients with healthier choices. For example if a recipe calls for milk, you can substitute this ingredient for coconut milk, (yes coconut milk is healthy), or almond milk. Do the same with seasonings and spices. Add new flavors to your dishes.

You can also try changing your cooking style. This keeps things fresh and interesting. For example If you sauté your steak, try grilling it with a healthy dose of olive oil or broiling it. As you see all these methods are easy and simple to master. You never need to get complicated to lose or manage you weight. Be bold!

Be Consistent

Don't give up. Whatever you do just keep at this and you will begin to observe two things.

1- As you progress you will not understand how you were ever able to eat the foods you ate.

2- Your body will begin to reject unhealthy foods because it will feel unpleasant to you.

The thing is your body will not want to go back to your old ways. When you are consistent with your new way of planning and eating you will wonder how you ever ate certain foods that now may seem a bit disgusting. Your body is telling you it was meant to be this way and it is happy to be back on track. Do this and your body will become more efficient at burning fat. Your desire for permanent weight loss is based on your willingness to experiment and be creative. Over time your body will take over and you'll never turn back. Be consistent!
